Two More Days

3 Oct

For those of you who are easily confused by days of the week, today is Wednesday.  For some reason, all I can think is: “why isn’t it Friday?”  It could be because my bachelorette-party-weekend-extravaganza starts Friday OR because the first chapter from my second book, Semester of Thursdays, goes live that morning at 8AM.

Maybe it’s a bit of both.

Hurry and sign up to stalk this blog so you don’t miss any posts from Semester of Thursdays, starting in two days!

Until then, here’s a little six-sentence teaser from the first installment:

“Why do you suppose we’re not engaged?”

It was meant as a rhetorical question but Lena had an answer.  She didn’t even have the decency to hesitate with her response.

“Because we date hot guys.”

An embarrassed chuckle escaped my unsurprised lips.  It was a good thing we were alone; if outsiders could hear most of our private conversations they’d think us catty—or call us another five-letter word.

SIDE NOTE: It looks like we didn’t quite make the cut for October’s Book Club but we fell behind a worthy adversary.

On the upshot, I’d like to thank everyone who took some time out of their busy schedules and answered the call to vote! This experience offered some fantastic publicity for “Mirrors” and hopefully allowed the story to gain some new readers.

Special thanks to Pamela Renee for telling me about PBF’s Book Club and those of you who got TM@BH on the list.

Finally, I encourage those of you looking for some fun reading to join PBF’s Book Club. It’s a free group that’s open to the public and could give you the chance to connect with fellow book lovers and stories you wouldn’t hear of otherwise.

I’ve loved the snippets I’ve read of this story, so I’m looking forward to have a whole chapter at once! Have a great time on the bachelorette extravaganza. Hopefully it will be so much fun you won’t be able to share any of the details. 🙂

I can’t wait to hear what you thought of Chapter 1, Donna! The bachelorette extravaganza lived up to it’s name 🙂 It will be a while before I’ve fully recovered!
